Neighborhood News- October 24, 2019

Next Thursday evening, people and children from our church and community will gather at Crossroads for our annual Harvest Party! It will be a break from the seriousness of life and work and bills and school and homework, a time to simply enjoy. Enjoy candy. Enjoy festive games and music. Enjoy silly costumes that get us in touch with the kid inside each of us. And most of all, enjoy being together. I hope that you will make plans to attend and participate in the Harvest Party next Thursday, October 31 from 5:30 – 8:30 PM!

When events like the Harvest Party come and go, it can be easy to forget all the unseen time, energy and careful planning that it takes to make an event like the Harvest Party so much fun. It takes a lot of busy hands and willing hearts to make it happen!

If you have a few hours you could help with setup, running a game or cleanup next week, would would love to have you help out! Email sdonica@crossroadscma.com or sign up at the Connection Point this Sunday to get plugged in!

Best,
Sam Donica

JOIN US FOR A WEEKEND WITH MATTHEW SMITH (FROM INDELIBLE GRACE)

Tickets Available Cash, Check, or Card on Sunday after Service

Come for a weekend of worship led by Matthew Smith from Indelible Grace. Experience the Nashville-based singer-songwriter in a solo concert Saturday night 7PM and join us while he leads a seminar on hymns at 9AM and leads worship on Sunday at our 10:30AM service.

If you’ve written off hymns as “old people music”, this event is for you. Learn how Matthew Smith uses hymns with new melodies to help guide people into emotionally honest worship, so they can become fully alive, wholehearted worshipers of the living God. These re-imagined hymns have helped join the entire church together by blending tradition with a modern musical approach.

Concert begins at 7PM
Doors open at 6PM

Sunday 9:00am Class
Our Spiritual Formation class is an invitation to deepen your relationship with God. Young or old, new to God or you’ve been on the journey for some time, we would love for you to join us. We will look at how topics like God’s love for us, our self-awareness, stages of our growth, suffering, silence, and how other Christian traditions assist us in living in the Good News. The class will conclude November 24th. Classes will connect to each other but will also stand-alone. So there is no need to worry if you miss a week.
