Neighborhood News- December 5, 2019

Nine years ago Crossroads began a tradition called the Advent Offering.  Over the years we have given toward what God is doing in Russia, Mongolia, Bosnia, Syria, Ecuador, and other various locations.  The projects have ranged from construction efforts to funding ministry start-ups.  Over the years you have given more than $87,000.00.

The invitation to participate comes in response to the gift of Jesus and our desire to live generously as He did.  Our vision of leading all generations to know Christ and make Him known includes the scope of our neighborhood to all nations.  Our heart is to invest in Bremerton, Kitsap County, Washington, the United States, and the world because that is the heart of the Father.  In light of this, Kitsap Homes of Compassion has been identified as the target of our Advent Offering.

KHOC is eliminating homelessness, one shared home at a time and the opportunity is available for you to join in.  We desire to continue to partner with KHOC through our Thanksgiving Meal, house managers and maintenance assistance but also in a couple of financial ways.  First, each home opened costs roughly $5000.00, which includes initial deposits and other various expenses.  Second, although the majority of the organization is facilitated via volunteers, there are some operational expenses involved.  Transitions, bookkeeping, and miscellaneous cost arise in an effort to provide uniformity and fluidity.  Will you partner with us this year?

You are free to give throughout the month of December, but our main offering will occur at our Christmas Eve Service.  Please be sure to designate your gift “Advent Offering” either on your check, on the envelope or online via the drop-down tab.

Blessings,
Pastor Eric
